Our Detoxes

Prices at the bottom of page.

We offer two types of detoxes; Physiological/body and emotional/psychological. As explained, detoxes seek to remove toxins/baggage that have accumulated over the years so we can return to our natural, healthy, happy us.

We don't run scheduled courses. Perhaps in the future we will, but for now we offer individual detoxes. We're in Kuta Lombok, so anyone wanting to detox just needs to get a nearby hotel of their choosing and we guide them through their detox.
Generally, regardless of type of detox, the initial process is always the same with the three day body detox the first step. Everyone gains numerous benefits from the basic 3 day detox so that comes first and we then pivot towards emotional/psychological detoxing or continue straight if we're just doing a body detox. The standard 3 day detox comes first because we empty trash cans first. There's no point trying to untangle what can be, and should be, deleted.
Beyond the standard three, or five, day body detoxes, it's all tailored to the individual and their objectives. Beyond physiological detoxing, a one size fits all program is necessarily less than optimal.
Exercise, along with sun, sand and sea is hugely beneficial at all times, but especially so when we're detoxing. The exercise can be gentle, just walking for example, but it's important to access the healing, and relaxing, powers of the sun and sea. When we're detoxing we're exhaling, but we're also inhaling at the same time which is why detoxing environment is important. We're wanting to relax, to slow down and to reconnect with the many simple, free, pleasures that exist. Swimming/ bathing in the sea, massages, walks, all this is great.
Also, there's no problem using phones, laptops, being online etc, at least for the first 3 days. For those doing 5, or 7, day body detoxes there's no reason to restrict anything for the duration of the detox aside from food/ calories. It's a different situation for emotional and psychological detoxes as it's motivations and habitual ways of thinking we're wanting to detox.

Body Detoxes

Due to how our bodies detox, the minimum time required to achieve results is two days. Three days is much better, and five days ideal, but we can provide a two day detox if that's all the time someone has.

Colonics;

Up to, and including, 3 day detoxes don't include colonics as there's not really the time to do enough of them to get the benefits. 5 day detoxes do include them, but they're not mandatory. We provide all the equipment, and instructions, allowing colonics to be self administered in your hotel bathroom. There's nothing complicated about doing colonics, they just take time and most people prefer doing it in their own space, in their own time.

Emotional and Psychological detoxes

Aside from the uniform first 3 days, these are tailored to the individual. Initially, the focus is on emptying out accumulated useless motivations so we can reconnect with our innate motivations buried somewhere underneath. Necessarily, we starve them out, this takes time and involves some discomfort. However, we can adjust the degree of discomfort as we can make the process slower or faster. What's important is not how fast we progress, not how quickly we get from A to B, but that we do get to B. We want to move some way along the spectrum so we can experience the significant difference, but it doesn't have to be via a hard, fast, scorched earth approach. People are different; Some are the 'jump in and get it done' type while others are of the 'toes in the water first, then knees,' type. Some have plenty of time, some have limited time.

We're flexible and everyone is different. During the first few days we get to know the client, we build up an understanding about them allowing us to select the therapy path best suited to them after the initial 3 days. People already have their multi faceted world, much of which is fine. Typically, it's the accumulated overgrowth, rather than anything specific, which causes problems/ holds us down. The individual can normally untangle themselves, in their own time and in their own way, once most of the weight is gone and they lighten up. But again everyone is different; Some have more trash to detox away, some need to/want to travel further along the spectrum than others. For some it's a serious exercise, for other's it's for the experience - they're just taking a trip to the other side to see what's there.

The Ideal All in One Detox

A 10 day, or even 12 day, detox is ideal as it allows for a proper body detox and enough time to really grind down the accumulation of secondary motivations. However, we have to be wary of 'mission creep' because then nothing is enough, there's never anything to celebrate since we're always moving the goal posts. In the detoxing, 'spiritual' ( however that's defined) space, mission creep often comes from the misplaced notion that 'purity' equals happiness. Misplaced, because our hardwired instincts are not 'pure' given most are defining 'pure', to the extent they can even define it, as being good and noble. But 'good' and 'noble' are cultural constructs, so they've set themselves an impossible mission generating confusion and inner conflict. Sure, if we empty out the accumulated trash, and fill up with love and joy, we will tend to be good, nice and noble. Sure, but that's just the natural way very happy people are. What do you have to give if your cup is fill of love and joy? If you already have everything you want, what do you need from others? They're not trying to be like that. There's no struggle, no template they're trying to squeeze themselves into. They're not looking for pats on their head, not even looking to high five their own reflection as they're not orientated towards those rewards.

The rat traps are filled with soul crusaders.

From the lower levels looking up it seems they're making an effort to be as they are. It seems they must have the same struggles, and be making all the same judgements we're making, given that's how we're motivated and function. But they're not, and if we move ourselves along the spectrum big shifts happen within and we're not either.

Psychological Detoxes

Psychological activity is largely downstream of motivations - we must firstly want something to devise strategies to obtain it - therefore the fewer motivations we're juggling the less overloaded and confused our brain tends to be. This is why a motivational/emotional detox is generally the first step even if the symptoms are psychological. However, people are different and some people are not motivationally overloaded, their issue is a wildly inaccurate model of reality. They're motivationally well orientated, but their beliefs and values are tangled and contradictory. What they seek is fruitful, but they struggle to navigate reality effectively. We don't have the truth, but we can help individuals become conscious of existing contradictions and encourage them to resolve them. Why do you have that belief? It's based on what evidence? Often, there's nothing underneath, the belief is just randomly floating there influencing their decisions and actions. A psychological detox is pruning back to solid ground instead of our brains processing all that accumulated junk.

An emotional detox invariably involves psychological detoxing, but in a more indirect way. There's no point grappling with beliefs that the individual will likely naturally jettison themselves, in their own time, once their system is fluid and flexible. Additionally, it's not for us to put a tick, or cross, alongside someones beliefs or values. We can, if invited, help them sort through them, but they decide what recipe they use, not us.

Tbh, we haven't really thought much about standalone psychological detoxing, but there's probably no reason we can't offer something.
